EU Enlargement Commissioner Kos meets with Slovenian Prime Minister Golob
Ljubljana, May 8 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos met with Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob ahead of Europe Day to exchange views on the EU’s enlargement strategy and regional security.
EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos evaluated Slovenia’s success in the accession process and the union’s future goals during the meeting held in Ljubljana.
Highlighting Slovenia’s position within the EU, Kos said, “We both know that Slovenia’s European journey shows how EU membership can strengthen democracy, prosperity, and security.”
Emphasizing the importance of the enlargement process, Kos stated, “We agreed that we need enlargement to extend this promise and make Europe safer, stronger, and more competitive.”
