Egyptian President Sisi and Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani discuss regional developments
Cairo, August 20 (Hibya) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi discussed regional developments and the latest situation in Gaza with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met in Cairo with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
According to a statement from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al Thani conveyed the greetings of Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Sisi at the beginning of the meeting. Sisi, in turn, sent his greetings to the Emir of Qatar through Al Thani.
The meeting reviewed regional developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and strengthening security and stability in the region.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
