Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that they welcomed the decision by the United States (US) to lift all sanctions on the Syrian Arab Republic.

Dar said the decision would contribute to the recovery and growth of the Syrian economy while also serving regional peace and stability.

Reiterating Pakistan’s steadfast support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, Dar said his country was ready to further develop bilateral cooperation with Syria.

Dar noted that Pakistan would continue to expand cooperation with Syria with the aim of ensuring lasting peace and prosperity.
