Dar: US-Iran indirect talks are conducted through Pakistan
Islamabad, March 26 (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar clarified speculations regarding peace talks aimed at ending conflicts in the Middle East.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar made a statement about the background of diplomatic processes aimed at reducing tensions in the region.
Contrary to media reports, Dar stated that the process is being carried out through Pakistan, saying: "In fact, US-Iran indirect talks are taking place through messages conveyed via Pakistan. In this context, the United States has shared a 15-point package currently being discussed by Iran."
Emphasizing that the initiative has regional support, Minister Dar said: "Brotherly countries, including Türkiye and Egypt, are also supporting this initiative."
Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, Dar stated: "Pakistan continues to make every effort to ensure stability in the region and beyond. Dialogue and diplomacy are the only way forward!"
