President of the EU Council Antonio Costa made a statement regarding his meeting with President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Seamus Boland.

Highlighting the importance of social cohesion in economic strategies, Costa said, “Social cohesion is the key to resilient and sustainable growth. Our Single Market is the most powerful tool to deliver this for our citizens and businesses, and this will also be the focus of our informal Leaders’ meeting on February 12.”

Expressing his satisfaction with the exchange of views with Boland, Costa concluded by saying, “It was a pleasure to meet President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Seamus Boland and to listen to his views.”
