Zelensky: Russia carried out a record attack in terms of ballistic missile use
Kyiv, February 3 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and made a statement regarding Russia’s record-level ballistic missile attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s visit to Ukraine and Russia’s increasing missile attacks.
Noting that Rutte’s visit comes at a critical time, Zelensky said: “It is important that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is with us in Ukraine at such a brutal moment of this war, when the Russians once again disregard the efforts of the American side.”
Drawing attention to the scale of the attacks, Zelensky stated: “Today, Russia carried out a record attack in terms of ballistic missile use. There were 28 cruise missiles and 43 missiles of various types that approached their targets along a ballistic trajectory and could be intercepted only by Patriot systems.”
Emphasizing the urgency of air defense support, Zelensky concluded his statement by saying: “This means that missiles are needed for these systems and that deliveries must be made urgently. I discussed this today with Mark, and I hope we can implement everything we agreed on. Thank you for your support, Mark.”
