Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares issued a statement regarding the air strikes carried out by Russia across Ukraine.

Emphasizing that the attacks are contrary to the rules of international law, Albares said: “This morning I condemn Russia’s attacks on homes and energy infrastructure in various regions of Ukraine. These are violations of international law and demonstrate a complete lack of will to achieve peace.”

Stating that Spain stands in solidarity with Ukraine, Minister Albares concluded his statement by saying: “Spain is working for a just and lasting peace and will continue to support Ukraine and strengthen its energy system in the face of unacceptable Russian attacks.”
