Costa: Enlargement is a strategic necessity for Europe
Brussels, June 2 (Hibya) - European Council President Antonio Costa said during a meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana that they welcomed Albania’s progress in its European Union membership process and stressed that reforms must continue.

Costa stated that they welcomed Albania’s determination regarding European Union membership and its reform efforts. He noted that the country’s recent progress was also confirmed during the Accession Conference held last week.
Emphasizing that reforms must continue and momentum must be maintained throughout the EU accession process, Costa said that enlargement is a “strategic necessity” for Europe. He added that this process is an important investment contributing to peace, stability, and security across the continent.
