Cassis: International Geneva is showing resilience
Geneva, September 14 (Hibya) - Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis said they assessed Geneva's current situation with regard to international organizations and decided to strengthen coordination in order to preserve its role in the service of multilateralism.
Swiss Foreign Minister Cassis said that together with Nathalie Fontanet and Christina Kitsos, they assessed the current situation of International Geneva in Geneva.
Cassis said International Geneva is showing resilience, stating, "No international organization has left Switzerland, and despite strong budgetary pressures on multilateralism in recent months, two new entities have established themselves in Geneva."
Stating that this situation is the result of work carried out by the Swiss Confederation, the Canton and the City, Cassis said they had decided to further strengthen coordination in order to adapt International Geneva and preserve its role in the service of multilateralism.
