According to a statement by Bulgaria's Council of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investment and Industry Alexander Pulev introduced measures aimed at supporting vulnerable households and low-income individuals, as well as industry and key sectors of the economy, during a briefing at the Council of Ministers.

Pulev said that despite the weak state of public finances, they had developed measures worth more than 300 million euros in total, describing them as one of the competitive offers in the region. Pulev emphasized that they had the support of the Ministry of Finance and that most of the measures had reached the implementation stage.

Pulev said the measures were planned to enter into force before the end of the month and that support would be provided to sectors such as agriculture, transport, logistics and heavy-duty road transport. It was stated that heavy-duty transport operators operating in European markets would receive a total of 55 million euros in direct support, helping businesses preserve their competitiveness and continue their operations.

A total of 170 million euros in state aid was allocated to agricultural producers. Of this amount, 100 million euros will be used to offset the difference in diesel prices between 2025 and 2026. Farmers will reportedly receive support of approximately 44 euro cents per liter.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Plamen Abrovski also said that planning had been carried out months in advance to ensure that the support reached farmers during the period when they needed it.
