Zelensky: Ukraine’s position is clear
Kyiv, January 23 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding the talks held in the United Arab Emirates with the participation of the Ukrainian, U.S. and Russian delegations.
President Zelensky said that the Ukrainian diplomatic team has been providing updates almost every hour regarding the talks held in the United Arab Emirates with the participation of the Ukrainian, U.S. and Russian delegations.
Noting that parameters aimed at ending the war were discussed during the talks, Zelensky stated that by now their delegation should have received at least some responses from Russia.
Zelensky said, “The main issue is whether Russia is truly ready to end this war that it started. Ukraine’s position is clear. I personally set the framework for the dialogue for our delegation.”
Regarding the substance of today’s talks, Zelensky said it is still too early at this stage to draw conclusions and added:
“Tomorrow we will see how the talks proceed and what kind of results they produce. The will to end the war and ensure full security must somehow emerge not only in Ukraine, but also in Russia.”
