Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Umerov said that in Abu Dhabi, together with Kyrylo Budanov, David Arakhamia, and Sergiy Kyslytsya, they participated in a trilateral meeting involving Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, and that they appreciated the mediation of the United States.

Umerov stated that the U.S. side was represented by U.S. President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, U.S. Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum, General Daniel Driscoll, and General Alex Grynkewich, adding:

“The Russian delegation included representatives of military intelligence and the armed forces. The meeting focused on the parameters for ending Russia’s war and on the future logic of the negotiation process aimed at moving toward a dignified and lasting peace.”

Umerov also noted that additional meetings are planned for tomorrow, saying: “Tomorrow, Chief of the General Staff General Andrii Hnatov and Deputy Head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Lieutenant General Vadym Skibitskyi will also join the Ukrainian delegation.”
