Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had spoken with Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) chief Oleksandr Poklad and announced that a Russian drone had targeted the SBU headquarters in Kyiv.

Sharing details of the attack, Zelensky said, “I spoke with Security Service of Ukraine chief Oleksandr Poklad. Unfortunately, a Russian drone attacked the headquarters of the Security Service of Ukraine on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv, opposite St. Sophia Cathedral. All emergency services are at the scene. Everyone affected will receive the necessary assistance.”

Zelensky said the attack had directly targeted the chief’s office, adding, “The drone had directly targeted the office of the head of the Security Service in the building.”

Emphasizing that he had given instructions for a response, Zelensky said, “I instructed Poklad, once everything is ready, to give the Russians an appropriate, concrete and, if possible, similar response to this attack. Our military will support this response.”
