Zelensky: Decisions will be made on the curfew
Kyiv, January 15 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that decisions would be taken regarding the curfew, stressing that sufficient flexibility must be ensured so that citizens and businesses can access all necessary facilities during the period of extreme cold weather.
President Zelensky stated that he held a special energy coordination meeting, which was attended by the Prime Minister, key government members responsible for emergency decision-making processes, as well as regional and local administration representatives from Kyiv and the Kyiv region, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Sumy and Chernihiv.
Noting that many operational details were discussed and that it is clear there is an extremely large number of issues that must be resolved as soon as possible, Zelensky said:
“The situation in Kyiv is particularly difficult. Time has been lost by the city administration, and what has not been done at the local level will now be compensated at the government level. A permanent operational center has been established for the capital, and its work will be overseen by the government. I expect full cooperation and coordination from local authorities.”
Zelensky added, “Today, decisions will be made regarding the curfew. It is necessary to ensure sufficient flexibility so that citizens and businesses can have all the necessary opportunities during the period of extreme cold weather.”
