Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

President Zelensky stated that sports should not mean forgetfulness, and the Olympic movement should help stop wars instead of feeding the aggressors’ appetite.

He noted that the decision of the International Olympic Committee to disqualify Vladyslav Heraskevych goes against these principles, saying, "This is certainly not about the Olympic principles, which are based on supporting justice and peace."

Zelensky added that since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, 660 Ukrainian athletes and coaches have been killed, and said:

"Hundreds of our athletes will never again participate in the Olympic Games or other international competitions. Yet, 13 Russians are currently competing in the Olympics in Italy. They race under 'neutral' flags while openly supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine and the occupation of our lands in real life. They are the ones who deserve to be disqualified."

Zelensky said that he is proud of Vladyslav and what they have done, adding that courage is more valuable than any medal.
