Zelensky: 3 killed in Russian attacks
Kyiv, August 14 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 3 people were killed and 21 injured in overnight Russian attacks in the Donetsk, Sumy and Cherkasy regions. One of those killed was a child.
Ukrainian President Zelensky said Russia carried out attacks across various regions of Ukraine throughout the night.
Zelensky said that in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, a Russian aerial bomb caused part of a 10-story building between the first and sixth floors to collapse. One person was killed and 16 were injured in the attack.
In the settlement of Stepanivka in the Sumy region, a Shahed drone struck a private house, killing 2 people, one of whom was a child.
In Smila, Cherkasy region, a Russian drone struck a 9-story building, causing fires on several floors and injuring 5 people.
Zelensky said the Kherson, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions were also targeted overnight. Injuries were reported, along with damage to apartment buildings, private homes and infrastructure facilities.
Zelensky said the injured are receiving the necessary medical care and claimed that Russia uses about 220 guided aerial bombs every day against settlements along the front line.
Zelensky also called for increased sanctions pressure on supply chains for foreign components and on production facilities used in the attacks, in order to disrupt the production of Russian missiles, bombs and drones at the manufacturing stage.
