UNRWA: Residents of Yarmouk Camp are rebuilding their lives
New York, March 16 (Hibya) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that families have begun returning to Yarmouk Camp, which was heavily damaged during the conflicts in Syria, and are rebuilding their lives by repairing their homes.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) issued a statement regarding the latest situation in Yarmouk Camp, which was once the center of the Palestinian refugee community in Syria but was devastated after years of conflict.
Highlighting the camp’s historical and current condition, the statement said: “Yarmouk Camp, which once hosted a thriving Palestinian refugee community in Syria, suffered severe damage due to years of conflict. Today, families are returning and working to repair their homes.”
Emphasizing the importance of international support in these efforts, UNRWA stated: “With the support of UNRWA and the generous contributions of the UNRWA USA National Committee, residents are rebuilding their lives — repairing one home at a time.”
