Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, made statements regarding the humanitarian dimension of the conflicts in the Middle East and the stance of the international community in this process.

Emphasizing the humanitarian tragedy in the region, Albares said, “The situation in Lebanon is a source of shame for humanity. Gaza and the West Bank have been forgotten by the international community.”

Stating that Europe must take responsibility for resolving the crisis, Minister Albares said, “Europe should be the side that shows the way for peaceful coexistence in the Middle East.”
