Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announced that Luxembourg Prime Minister Frieden visited the country on Ukraine’s Independence Day.

Zelenskyy said Frieden’s presence in Ukraine was a strong and necessary message of support for the Ukrainian people, who defend their independence every day.

The meeting addressed the results of the Coalition of the Willing meeting, as well as how to ensure Ukraine’s resilience during the autumn and winter period.

Zelenskyy said he briefed Frieden in detail on issues requiring urgent work, particularly military funding and the budget deficit.

Zelenskyy said Luxembourg was ready to support efforts to find solutions within the European Union at both bilateral and multilateral levels, adding that he also welcomed the country’s willingness to contribute to the reconstruction of university dormitories as part of humanitarian assistance.

Zelenskyy stressed that support for rebuilding university dormitories is important for Ukraine’s young people and the country’s future.
