Ukraine: We continue to defend the principles on which the UN was founded
Kyiv, October 24 (Hibya) - In a statement marking United Nations (UN) Day, Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Ukraine was one of the founding members of the United Nations in 1945 and highlighted the country's contributions to the organization's work on human rights, the rule of law, sustainable development, peace and security.
Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on social media to mark United Nations Day.
Recalling that Ukraine was among the founding members of the United Nations in 1945, the statement noted that the country has contributed to the UN's work in the areas of human rights, the rule of law, sustainable development, peace and security for eight decades.
The statement emphasized that Ukraine continues to defend the principles on which the United Nations was founded and is working toward a just and lasting peace.
