Tsahkna: The Presidential Flag has been presented to the Estonian National Museum
Tallinn, June 4 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna participated in a historic handover ceremony on Estonia’s Flag Day and presented the Presidential Flag to the Estonian National Museum.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that he was honored by the return to the country of the flag that was rescued from the Red Army in 1944 and preserved in Australia for more than 80 years.
Referring to the preservation of the flag and its symbolic value, Tsahkna said: "The extraordinary journey of this flag, safeguarded by a young Estonian scout who took it into exile and protected it for decades, is a story of courage and perseverance."
Emphasizing the spirit behind this historic development, Tsahkna added: "It is also proof of how much we value the symbols of our state and our independence."
