Tsahkna met with Holy See Secretary for Relations with States Gallagher
Vatican, March 24 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna announced that he met with the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, and discussed ensuring a just peace in Ukraine and addressing global challenges.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna made a statement regarding diplomatic contacts held in the Vatican and issues of international security.
Providing details about the meeting, Tsahkna said: “I am grateful for the extremely productive meeting we had this morning in the Vatican with the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher.”
Tsahkna noted that they held a comprehensive discussion on overcoming the complex challenges faced by the international community, emphasizing that Ukraine was at the center of the process.
Emphasizing that they focused particularly on efforts to ensure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, Tsahkna stated: “I praised the Holy See for its clear and principled stance in identifying the aggressor and the victim.”
