Tsahkna: Estonia’s security assessment has not changed
Tallinn, September 19 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, addressing recent discussions about the security of NATO’s eastern flank, said his country’s security assessment has not changed.
Tsahkna said: “Estonia’s security assessment has not changed. We are calm, vigilant and prepared.”
Noting that they have been working with NATO allies for years to strengthen deterrence and collective defense, Tsahkna said: “Today, the Alliance is stronger, more capable and better prepared than ever. If necessary, allies will act with determination and unity.”
Tsahkna said the most effective contribution to security is to continue and strengthen support for Ukraine while increasing pressure on Russia: “Supporting Ukraine and strengthening our collective defense are complementary goals. A stronger Ukraine means a stronger and safer Europe.”
