US President Donald Trump commented on the payment plan, which he said would be made possible by the country’s economic development and investments, and responded to criticism.

Criticizing reactions to the project, Trump said: “The $5,000 ‘Trump Dividend,’ which will be given to all adults in the United States thanks to the trillions of dollars in economic development, investment and pure success achieved by our country, is being criticized by the ‘Dumocrats’ (Stupid Democrats), who hope it never happens; but it will happen!”

Pointing to his previous legislative and economic steps, Trump said: “For example, that magnificent and wonderful law, one of the biggest measures ever approved by Congress or signed into law by a President, was enacted despite Democrats claiming it was impossible to approve. Or that $1,776 gift I gave our military last year… Everyone said it couldn’t be done, that it was a doomed effort from the start, but it was done; the patriots in our military received that money and were very happy.”

Trump concluded his statement by saying: “When I say something, I really mean it! That $5,000 payment will happen because the people of our country deserve it. Vote Republican.”
