President Trump, in his remarks about German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, criticized Merz’s assessments regarding Iran acquiring nuclear weapons.
Trump argued that Iran possessing nuclear weapons would constitute “a serious threat to the world,” stating that such a scenario would put global security at risk. He added that some countries and leaders should have taken action earlier on this issue.
Trump also referred to Germany’s economic situation, claiming that the country is going through a difficult period both economically and in other areas.
