Trump: I ordered the destruction of any vessel laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz
Washington, April 23 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had issued firm orders to the U.S. Navy to destroy any elements involved in mine-laying activities in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure security.

Declaring that he had given a destruction order to the U.S. Navy, Trump said: “I have ordered the United States Navy to strike and destroy any vessel laying mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz, even small boats. There will be no hesitation. All naval ships, 159 of them, will be at the bottom of the sea!”
Trump stated that the scope of mine-clearing operations in the region has been expanded, adding: “Our mine-clearing vessels are currently clearing the Strait. I have ordered that this activity be continued at three times the scale!”
