Jetten: The Netherlands welcomes the adoption of the 20th sanctions package
Amsterdam, April 23 (Hibya) - Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten spoke about the European Union’s (EU) €90 billion support package for Ukraine and the 20th sanctions package against Russia.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten highlighted the importance of the financial support both for Ukraine’s defense capacity and for Europe’s overall security architecture.
Evaluating the EU’s decisions, Jetten said, “The final announcement of the €90 billion support package for Ukraine is a very important step. This is vital for Ukraine’s fight for freedom and therefore for our security.”
Referring to the Netherlands’ stance, Jetten said, “The Netherlands also welcomes the adoption of the 20th sanctions package to maintain pressure on Russia.”
Providing information on the summit schedule, Jetten stated, “This afternoon I will go to Cyprus, and this evening and tomorrow I will hold further talks with my European counterparts on support for Ukraine.”
