Tajani: We have sent 85 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza
Rome, 7 December (Hibya) – Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, announced that a new shipment of humanitarian aid to Gaza was sent via Jordan.
Tajani stated that a new shipment of humanitarian aid to Gaza has been sent to Jordan. The shipment includes 85 tons of basic food supplies and essential items collected by Italian authorities in cooperation with Coldiretti, Conad, Confagricoltura and Confcooperativ.
The special aid aircraft took off from the United Nations base in Brindisi and was coordinated with the World Food Programme (WFP). Tajani noted that Italy has so far sent around 2,400 tons of emergency aid under the “Food For Gaza” initiative. He further emphasized that the situation in Gaza remains uncertain and that he has instructed Italian ambassadors to prepare action plans capable of responding quickly to needs during this period.
