Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Italian Foreign Minister Tajani assessed developments in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf with Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar. In a statement shared on social media after the meeting, Tajani said that Europe and India are strategic partners and noted that the partial blockade in the Strait of Hormuz poses serious risks to energy security and economic stability.

Tajani stated during the meeting: “We shared serious concerns regarding the safety of our citizens living in the region and the strategic implications. In this context, we want to coordinate urgent steps that will reduce tensions, ensure freedom of navigation and maintain the stability of international markets. These elements are also critical for the full functioning of the EU-India free trade agreement.”

Tajani said that crises demonstrate the importance of strengthening investments in new infrastructure and secure routes, citing the IMEC corridor as an example in this context. He also stated that with a political and economic initiative to be held in Trieste on March 17, they plan to strengthen commercial, digital and energy connections and create a common economic area for the business community.
