Szijjarto: We stay out of the war to guarantee our country's security
Budapest, February 15 (Hibya) — Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto stated that Hungary is working for peace in the Russia-Ukraine war but is staying out of the conflict to ensure the country’s security.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjarto welcomed U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Budapest.
Noting that their meeting with Rubio will focus on advancing peace and strengthening Hungarian-American relations, Szijjarto said: “U.S. President Donald Trump has made serious efforts to bring peace back to Ukraine, but these efforts are constantly being undermined from Brussels, Berlin and other European capitals.”
Szijjarto emphasized that Hungary is working for peace and is keeping the country out of the war in order to guarantee its security.
