According to a statement by the Syrian Presidency, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa opened the 63rd Damascus International Fair today at the Congress Palace in Damascus.

The opening ceremony was attended by numerous ministers and officials, as well as official representatives from Arab and foreign countries and representatives of local and international economic circles.

In his speech at the ceremony, al-Sharaa said the broad participation in the fair demonstrates the world’s confidence in Syria and the Syrian people. He also said Syria is regaining its regional and international role.

The Syrian Presidency said al-Sharaa also addressed issues related to removing obstacles to economic activity and developing Syria’s economic relations in his speech.
