According to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic, President Ahmed Al-Sharaa and U.S. President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation.

During the call, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, recent political and security developments in the region, and ways to enhance joint cooperation to support Syria's stability and contribute to its economic recovery in the coming period.

President Al-Sharaa emphasized the importance of continued international support during Syria's reconstruction and recovery phase. It was also noted that lifting the remaining sanctions would be a crucial step toward reviving the Syrian economy and improving the living conditions of its citizens.
