According to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen met with the ambassadors of Arab countries to Portugal at the Palestinian Embassy in Lisbon.

Shaheen emphasized the importance of a common position among Arab countries in supporting and defending the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people. She briefed the ambassadors on political, humanitarian and on-the-ground developments in Palestine and said coordination among Arab diplomatic missions should be strengthened.

Shaheen also said Palestine’s diplomatic presence on the international stage should be strengthened and efforts supporting the Palestinian people’s exercise of their right to self-determination should be supported.
