Greek Deputy Foreign Minister holds talks in Strasbourg
Athens, September 16 (Hibya) - Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Tasos Hatzivassiliou held meetings with European Parliament officials in Strasbourg.
According to a statement by Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Tasos Hatzivassiliou visited Strasbourg on September 14-15 to follow the proceedings of the European Parliament’s plenary session.
Hatzivassiliou met with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and European Parliament Secretary-General Alessandro Chiocchetti. He also exchanged views with Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Security and Defence, as well as senior officials from the European People’s Party and the European Green Party.
The ministry said the visit was part of a regular program of contacts carried out as part of Greece’s preparations to assume the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2027.
