Sanchez: Yes to public healthcare, public pensions and the right to decent housing
Madrid, October 11 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez criticized approaches that suggest people must choose between public services and private alternatives, defending public healthcare, the public pension system, and the right to decent housing.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated that attempts were being made to create "false dilemmas" between public services and private alternatives in healthcare, pensions, and housing.
Sanchez said, "They are trying to tell us that we must choose between public healthcare and Quirón, between public pensions and a fund at a bank, between decent housing and vulture funds."
Opposing the presentation of these options as mutually exclusive alternatives, Sanchez stated, "We say yes to everything: yes to public healthcare, yes to the public pension system, and yes to the right to decent housing."
