Sanchez: Spain remains committed to the security of its allies
Madrid, May 29 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez spoke about a Russian drone violating Romanian airspace and crashing on Romanian territory, as well as the allies’ shared commitment to defense.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez issued a message of support to the Romanian people.
Reacting to the attack, Sanchez said, “I strongly condemn the entry and explosion of a Russian drone on Romanian territory. I stand in full solidarity with the affected civilians, Romania, and its people.”
Drawing attention to the legal dimension of Russia’s actions, Sanchez stated, “Russia’s violation of international law is unacceptable.”
Sanchez concluded his statement by emphasizing commitment to alliance security:
“Spain remains committed to the eastern flank and to the security of its allies.”
