Jerusalem, June 22 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar congratulated his friend Abelardo "Kaplan" de la Espriella on his victory in the Colombian presidential election and expressed hope for elevating relations between the two countries to the highest level.

Emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries, Saar said: "We look forward to working with President-elect de la Espriella to revitalize relations between Israel and Colombia and bring them to the highest level."
Providing details about the invitation extended during their discussion, Saar stated: "I invited President-elect de la Espriella to visit Israel, and I hope to welcome him to Jerusalem very soon."
Saar concluded his statement by sharing his best wishes for Colombia’s future, saying: "I wish Abelardo success and congratulate the people of Colombia as they embark on a new and promising path."
