Qatar's Permanent Representative to the UN meets with UN General Assembly President
Doha, November 4 (Hibya) - Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, met with Khalilur Rahman, President of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, in New York. The meeting focused on the session's priorities and preparations for a UN program to be hosted by Qatar.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the country's Permanent Representative to the UN, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, had met with Khalilur Rahman, President of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, in New York.
During the meeting, held on November 4, 2026, the participants reviewed priorities of mutual interest within the framework of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting also addressed preparations for Qatar to host the UN High-Level Midterm Review of the Doha Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries. The event is scheduled to take place in Doha from March 22 to 24, 2027.
