Meloni: We must never take the courage of those who serve Italy for granted
Rome, November 4 (Hibya) - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni commemorated four Italian soldiers who lost their lives in Bosnia and expressed her gratitude to members of the Armed Forces in a message marking Armed Forces Day on November 4.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni paid tribute to soldiers who chose to serve their country and to those who lost their lives in a social media post marking Armed Forces Day on November 4.
Meloni stated that behind every uniform are men and women who have chosen to put the interests of the nation before their own. She noted that service members take on responsibilities, make sacrifices and, when necessary, risk their lives.
Referring to the four Italian soldiers who died in Bosnia, Meloni said their deaths served as another reminder of how high the cost of serving one's country can be.
In her message, Meloni honored fallen service members and their families, stating, "A nation, when it is truly a nation, recognizes the value of those who defend it, preserves their memory and passes on to new generations the pride of belonging."
Expressing her gratitude to all members of the Armed Forces who serve Italy every day with dedication and courage, Meloni concluded her message with the words, "Honor to our fallen. Long live the Armed Forces. Long live Italy."
