Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prevot made a statement about rebuilding trust in the Balkans and diplomatic contacts.

Sharing his observations from the final stop of his visit, Prevot said: “My mission in the Western Balkans ended with a visit that reminded us how important stability and security are in the region: Srebrenica, unfortunately known for the genocide that took place there in 1995.”

Speaking about his stance on justice and combating denial, Prevot stated: “I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to support international justice and reject all forms of denial or glorification of war crimes.”

Referring to the human dimension of diplomacy and the reconciliation process, Prevot said: “Diplomacy is not only about institutions and agreements; it is also about humanity. Acknowledging pain, listening to communities, and recognizing the dignity of every identity are essential steps in rebuilding trust.”

Prevot concluded his statement with the words: “In a region where memories remain vivid and identities are often politicized, continuing to connect people and perspectives is indispensable for reconciliation.”
