Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic wished success to Croatia's national football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup match.

Plenkovic stated that they fully support head coach Zlatko Dalic, the national team players and the leadership of the Croatian Football Federation. Expressing his belief that Croatia would achieve victory through the quality of its football, strong motivation and positive atmosphere, Plenkovic said, “I believe we will all be celebrating together this evening.”

Plenkovic also expressed his satisfaction with the atmosphere created by the large number of Croatian supporters who travelled to Toronto and sent a message to the national team: “Vatreni, good luck tonight!”
