Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten met with United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk.

Jetten stated that Volker Türk plays an important role in protecting and promoting human rights around the world, saying, “We discussed the work of the UN Human Rights Office and how the Netherlands can increase its support for the institution at a time when human rights are under pressure everywhere in the world.”

It was reported that the meeting also covered the Global Human Rights Alliance, UN support for Ukraine, the monitoring of human rights violations, and developments in the Middle East and Sudan. Jetten said, “I thanked the UN for its comprehensive support to Ukraine.”
