Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, accompanied by Minister of Croatian Veterans Tomo Medved, visited the Petrovačka Dola area near Vukovar to inspect efforts to locate people who went missing during the Croatian War of Independence in 1991.

In a statement shared on social media, Plenkovic described Petrovačka Dola as one of the most complex sites in the search for missing persons. He said the area, formerly a waste disposal site, is now a mass grave and had been used to conceal crimes. Plenkovic noted that investigations, exhumations and identification procedures were being carried out under extremely difficult conditions.

Plenkovic reported that the remains of 38 people discovered in the area had been identified so far, including 22 Croatian soldiers and 16 civilians. Those identified include wounded individuals taken from Vukovar Hospital and people who had been listed as missing since November 1991.

Plenkovic stated that 446 people were still being sought in the Vukovar-Syrmia region, of whom 320 were connected to Vukovar.

Emphasizing that efforts to determine the fate of missing persons would continue, Plenkovic said, "We will not stop until the fate of the very last person who made the ultimate sacrifice for Croatia's freedom has been clarified."
