European Parliament President Roberta Metsola addressed the importance of the European Union during a speech at the Sejm, the lower house of the Polish Parliament.
In her speech, shared on the Polish Parliament's social media account, Metsola stated that her generation had known Europe both with and without the European Union.
Acknowledging that the European Union was not perfect, Metsola stressed the need to remain open to reforms and take action on issues requiring improvement.
"But ultimately, a world with the European Union is a better place for all of us," Metsola said.
