Pezeshkian issues message on the US and regional security
Tehran, May 5 (Hibya) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made statements following his phone call with the Prime Minister of Iraq.
Iranian President Pezeshkian shared his assessment of the phone call he held with the Iraqi Prime Minister.
Pezeshkian said in his statement:
“We Muslims have submitted before; we have submitted to the Almighty and Powerful One, and no one but Him can make us submit.”
Noting that he also conveyed a message to US officials during the call, Pezeshkian said: “I emphasized the necessity of advising American officials to withdraw military threats from our region.”
Pezeshkian also stated in his assessment of groups in the region: “Followers of the Shia sect cannot be forced into submission, even through the use of forceful language.”
