Pavel: Solving problems in the Liberec region is possible through local cooperation
Prague, December 12 (Hibya) – Czech President Petr Pavel drew attention to the importance of efforts to address social problems in the Liberec Region (Liberecký kraj), which is cited as one of the country’s most disadvantaged areas.
During Pavel’s visit to the region, meetings were held with experts and volunteers who, in particular, help at-risk children, combat violence and work to resolve local problems.
President Pavel recalled that the Liberec region has long been one of the places experiencing the highest levels of social exclusion nationwide, noting that targeted support is essential for the situation to improve.
“A noticeable improvement in conditions in the region will be possible through properly directed support carried out in close cooperation with local residents and municipalities,” Pavel said, stressing the need for the central government to act together with local stakeholders.
