Costa: We need to turn the commitment into reality
Brussels, 12 December (Hibya) – President of the European Union (EU) Council Antonio Costa said that in October they committed to covering Ukraine’s financial needs for the next two years, and now they must turn this commitment into reality.
EU Council President Costa stated that in his meetings with leaders he is continuing preparations for the upcoming European Council meeting.
Noting that they have held important meetings together before and will continue to do so, Costa said they are once again ready to offer solutions.
Costa emphasized that no single message stood out during the preparatory talks with council members, adding: “In October, we committed to covering Ukraine’s financial needs for the next two years. Now we need to turn this commitment into reality.”
