According to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen met Al-Bireh Mayor Engineer Munif Tarish and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting addressed strengthening cooperation between the ministry and Al-Bireh Municipality in various fields. Shaheen highlighted the importance of developing sister-city ties and cooperation opportunities between Al-Bireh and cities in friendly countries through Palestinian embassies abroad.

The parties also discussed ongoing Israeli violations in the city of Al-Bireh, its villages and surrounding areas, as well as the importance of raising these violations on international platforms.

Mayor Tarish, for his part, stressed the importance of representatives of diplomatic missions operating in Palestine conducting field visits to Al-Bireh and its surroundings to observe the violations firsthand.
