According to a statement by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Türkiye's Ambassador to Islamabad Irfan Neziroglu met with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

During the meeting, Neziroglu briefed Dar on the progress made under bilateral institutional mechanisms established to develop cooperation in various fields following recent high-level contacts between Pakistan and Türkiye.

Dar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to further deepen its relations and cooperation with Türkiye in priority areas.

Dar emphasized the importance of the relevant institutions closely coordinating preparations for the upcoming Joint Commission meeting and the 8th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in order to advance the bilateral agenda.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the evolving situation in the region. Dar said dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving problems and ensuring lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
