Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baqaei shared a post on his social media account marking September 27, Master Shahriar Commemoration Day and Persian Poetry and Literature Day.

Baqaei said the Persian language and literature hold an important place in the treasury of human culture, noting that for centuries the language has served as a bridge bringing different souls closer together and forging bonds between nations.

Baqaei said September 27 is an opportunity to reflect on this heritage, adding that Master Shahriar found his home in Persian and transformed poetry into a mirror for seeing what is hidden from view amid the noise of the age.

Baqaei said Shahriar's contribution to the Persian language and literature was not limited to this, adding that he also offered a reminder of the need to preserve the language's original refuge.
